We are busy with preparations for the best 2016 Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration! Mark your calendar and bring the whole family to the Deschutes County Fair and Expo on July 4th for a FREE day of family fun - games, music, contests, crafts and so much more. Plan to stick around after the celebration to watch the Redmond Fireworks show, hosted by the Redmond Chamber of Commerce. The show, which begins at dusk is sponsored by High Desert Aggregate & Paving. This is an event you won't want to miss.
It's happening on August 20th, the 8th Annual Trinity Bikes RAT Race. This is the perfect family Sprint based triathlon/duathlon for those who are new and curious athletes or seasoned veterans. Get your little ones involved in the Lil' RAT Kid's Race including a coloring contest. The RAT Race encompases the beauty and family centric life that Redmond, Oregon has to offer and we invite you to come out and Race the RAT! Registration closes on August 7th.
The annual RAT Race and Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration are major events for RAPRD. We need volunteers to make these two events the best ever! You will get a volunteer t-shirt. You can download a volunteer form by clicking on the graphic or drop by the Cascade Swim Center or RAPRD Activity Center, pick up a volunteer form and let us know what you are interested in. If you have questions, you can contact us at 541-548-7275. Our staff will help find the right event and job to fit your volunteer needs.
