OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK

NO ICE RINK for 2024/25 Winter Season
City Explores Building New Year-around Facility
Due to significant mechanical failures, the downtown ice rink will be permanently closed while the City of Redmond explores building a new, year-round ice rink for the community. While the new location has yet to be determined, it will remain in downtown to serve both residents, visitors, and downtown businesses.

The Redmond community has frequently expressed a desire for more family-friendly activities, and while the old rink was a beloved part of the winter tradition, it was in poor condition and undersized for the number of skaters wishing to use the rink daily.

The goal of the new rink facility is to develop a multi-purpose venue, providing year-round opportunities for skating, such as roller skating, scootering, and skateboarding in the warmer months and then converting over to ice skating in the winter months. The facility will also be available for other community events and programmed activities in partnership with RAPRD.
